PyFX - An effect framework in Python

PyFX is a Python framework which makes it really easy to use graphics effects based on Cg shaders.

Here is an example of PyFX in use. The file Beer.py implements the effect of distance based attenuation according to Beer's law. It can be used in an application like this:
   e = Effect('Beer')
   while e.hasMorePasses():
       renderTorus()
Which will generate the picture to the left.
There is also an experimental GPU-based image processing library built on top of PyFX is available here.
